Katrina Kaif voted the best Indian celebrity match for Prince William

On the eve of the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, Shaadi.com, an online matrimonial service recently conducted a poll amongst its members on which Indian celebrity would make a good pair with Prince William. They were required to choose from three Indian Women – Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra and Sonakshi Sinha. Out of the 8000 survey takers, 75.3 per cent respondents believed that Katrina would be the best Indian celebrity match for Prince William, followed by Priyanka Chopra with 16.7 per cent and Sonakshi Sinha with 8 per cent. As the world is following every step of the Royal Wedding on the Internet and social media, Shaadi.com posed the same question on social networking platforms asking followers their opinion on which Indian celebrity women would be make a good pair with Prince William. With no options to choose from, the results showed that the most preferred celebrity woman was Sushmita Sen.

Katrina Kaif has been eager to foray into film production with the remake of a French movie that had left her bowled over.

The buzz about Katrina thinking of turning into a producer has been doing the rounds for quite some time now, but there’s been no progress towards that actor-to-producer transition because the film she wants to make is based on the 2006 French movie Priceless.

Katrina has reportedly been negotiating through her agents to buy the remake rights of Priceless, that starred the ‘Amelie’ girl Audrey Tautou and Gad Elmaleh.

However, reports say that repeated attempts by Katrina to approach the maker of the French film have drawn a blank. Apparently, they aren’t interested in selling the remake rights and Katrina has to contend with that.

What’s Priceless about?

The film tells the story of a sly but extremely beautiful woman who is a gold-digger. She dates rich men and lives off their money. She is fooled by a shy waiter who pretends to be a millionaire to woo her. How this love story between two unlikely personalities shapes up is what the remaining film is about.

Sohail Sen has composed the music while ace choreographer Bosco will be making Kat dance to his tunes. It will be interesting to see if this item numbers manages to surpass the mass hysteria created by Katrina's last item song 'Sheila Ki Jawani'.

First look of 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan'

Yash Raj Films much awaited flick, ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ is awaited for release but the first look of the film is out and it looks very comic and full of entertaining. The film stars Katrina Kaif, Imran Khan and Pakistani singer Ali Zafar.

‘Mere Borther Ki Dulhan’ is a rom-com movie set in North India. The story is full of humor and fun and guarantees 100% entertainment to the audience where Imran Khan falls for his brother Ali Zafar’s dulhan Katrina Kaif.

The film will see the light of the day on 9 September 2011. Apart from the lead actors, the film also stars actress Preity Zinta, Parikshit Sahni, Kanwaljit Singh and John Abraham in a cameo role. The film is being written and directed by debutant Ali Abbas Zafar.

Katrina Not Interested In Deepika's Item Number

Seems like the one-time rivals Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone aren't ready to bury the hatchet yet.

This time, the bone of contention is their item numbers - Sheila Ki Jawani and Mit Jaaye Gham.

A source said, "Katrina has been telling friends that her song Sheila Ki Jawani was much better than Deepika's song in Dum Maaro Dum in every way - from styling to choreography and the look. Incidentally, Deepika's song has come under criticism but has connected with the youth upsetting the Tees Maar Khan actress, who was the talk of the town when her song became a chartbuster and was offered big money to perform at events."

It is but natural that Katrina and Deepika will not like each other's songs given their history. So when asked what she thinks about Deepika's song, Katrina said, "I'm not interested in such things. I haven't seen the film as I have been out of town shooting for Mere Brother Ki Dulhan in Agra."

Prod her on and ask her if she has seen the song and she says, "I have only seen the promos till now and the choreography looks good. Bosco (of Bosco-Ceasar) has choreographed many songs of mine and he's done a great job!"

Much has been written about Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif’s love affairs. In an interview, the Kapoor scion shuns all those reports and clarified that he never dated Katrina Kaif.

Ranbir said that he is fed-up of all those link-up stories written about him every other day. When he was asked about his break-up with Kat, the actor brilliantly answered that he was never in a relationship with Katrina and so the question of break-up does not arise.

He added that his link-up and break-up stories has really upset his parents and he requested the media not to cook up such wrong stories and tarnish his image. Ranbir also added that he is so scared of media now that he has stopped going out with his friends as he feared that he might not be linked with someone again.

Katrina Kaif has had very little luck in love. After splitting with Salman Khan, she found solace in Ranbir Kapoor. But apparently Ranbir's refusal to marriage has left her heartbroken again and the actress headed to London to deal with break-up stress. While Kat's friends insist she was in London due to professional commitments, buzz is that her family asked her to stay with them for a while so that she can get over Kapoor boy, reported Mid Day.

Katrina restricted herself to home during the visit. "She is heartbroken. She needed time to recover from the depression. Her family's concern was obvious and they ordered her home. Even before she left, she remained confined to her house," Kat's friend told the tabloid.

The fact that both her relationships with prolific stars haven't worked out "is hurting her to no end," added her friend.

However, Katrina denied these reports. "I was in London for an event of an airline I endorse," she informed the tabloid.

The actress is now back and is shooting in Agra for Yash Raj's Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.

Katrina Kaif is currently shooting for 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan'. The movie also stars Imran Khan and Ali Zafar in the lead. Now, the damsel, we hear is in a kind of a fix. Her two co-actors don't get along too well, and have been giving each other the cold shoulder on the sets.

We are told that Katrina finds herself in a fix and remains unsure about whom she should talk to lest the other one feels bad. "When you are shooting, it's good to have company on the sets, but it becomes an issue when actors don't get along. I guess Katrina is loving the attention. When she talks to Ali, Imran tries to get her attention, and when she talks to Imran, Ali tries to get her to talk to him."

However, a unit hand informs us, "Imran and Ali aren't the best of friends. Katrina, however, gets along with both of them. While Imran and Katrina have become better friends owing to the Imran-Ranbir friendship, Ali, too is in Kat's good books, given that he is encouraging her to sing a song for the movie!Katrina manages herself well. She maintains the balance on the sets. Ali and Imran are also mature and don't make an issue out of anything. They are all behaving like professionals."

An upcoming animation film Crackers which claims to be India's first 3D stereoscopic animation feature film has its female lead character modeled on Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif.

Director Anil Goyal doesn't shy off from the claims and rather accepts the fact that an animated female character named Kate in his film Crackers has been derived from Katrina Kaif. This is his way of bringing appeal and audience-connect to the character. The film deals with a terror attack on a campus and how Kate and her college friends channelize their energy to counter and foil the attack.

However unlike the Barbie doll, Katrina Kaif doesn't seem to be officially endorsing her animated avatar and we just hope this doesn't end up into another copyright issue.

Deepika outruns Kat to be Sallu's new girl?

Deepika Padukone lost one man to Katrina Kaif. Looks like she may soon get to avenge herself by stepping into Kaif's shoes as Salman Khan's girl in Kabir Khan's film, to be produced by YRF. While Katrina is still under consideration for the role, both Aditya Chopra and director Kabir have zeroed down on Prakash Padukone's daughter.

Explaining how Deepika came into the picture, a source said, "They needed a young A-lister opposite Salman for the film.

So it had to be Katrina, Deepika, Kareena or Priyanka. Kareena and Priyanka are not in the running anymore.

After the misunderstanding over the promos of Roadside Romeo, YRF is not too keen on Kareena. As for Priyanka, though she had patched up with Salman, the chances of the two working together are very less."

Also, the fact that Salman is proving to be a major hindrance in his ex-girl Katrina's career, (Mumbai Mirror, March 29) tips the scales in Deepika's favour. If buzz is to be believed, to avoid speculations and controversies, the Kaif babe may herself choose to opt out of the film
News of Deepika working with Salman has been doing the rounds for quite some time now, be it in Bodyguard, Kick or Ready. Deepika has always been open about her desire to work with Salman as well.

After an event in 2010 where Salman had expressed his desire to do a song with Deepika, she had said, "Just one dance with Salman is not enough.

I would want to do a full-fledged film with him." On another occasion, more recently, when asked about Salman, Deepika had said, "I have been very lucky to have had the opportunity to work with the biggest names in the industry.

Now, I would like to work with Salman. I feel he is a very honest person. He is genuine about what he feels and from what I have read and known about him, he seems to be very caring."

Looks like, Deepika's dream is about to come true.
